I’m feeling pretty festive this year. Usually I’m not a fan of Valentine’s day. I believe in the day after when the chocolate is on sale. However, I couldn’t resist painting this cupid for the Pin Up Show at @labodegagallery Instead of your typical fat cherub, I went with something a little more alluring. You’ve all heard of Saint Valentine, but have you heard of Valentina? She comes from a race of pink skinned cupids that live high above the clouds. Here you can find her contemplating her next shot. Happy New Years Eve everyone! Decided to end the year by sharing my #bestnine2017 Happy to see some wips in there! Looks like some favorites were pieces I did for @futuregallerymi @penumbragallery and #mabsdrawlloweenclub 💖 Most have found homes, but you can still find my Love Potion Witch “Venenum” in Penumbra Gallery’s online store 🖤penumbraboutique.com🖤 I wanted to say thank you for all the support and encouragement this year. I had a gallery show almost every month and while that was fun, my goal next year is to also make time for personal projects and possibly take commissions! Maybe connect more with my followers 🙃 I’m a little introverted so it might be weird haha. The end of the year was rough for me personally. I had a death in my family right before Christmas and that kind of put a damper on my holiday spirit as well as my productivity. I definitely needed to slow down and take a break so I could grieve properly. Unfortunately that means I didn’t make an end of the year illustration. BUT! Tomorrow is a special day because it marks the beginning of my collective @poisoncandyartists month long #CartoonManiaChallenge A fun little fan art daily drawing challenge that features a variety of cartoons across several decades.
